CARONIA Sun Kissed
CHIC Silky White
OH MY GOLLY Banana Boat
NAIL ART SUPPLIES USED:
FLOCKING POWDER Orange
FLOCKING POWDER Mustard Yellow
Hi! Today I have something "different" to show you. I recently joined the October Nail Art Ideas Linkup and the next nail art theme is TEXTURED. I flailed around in my bed until I came up with this manicure.
(^^,)
I don't know how or why but in my mind, Halloween + texture = candy corn nails topped with flocking powder! Woot! I wanted to cover my whole nail but I couldn't find any white flocking powder. Still, did I go too far?lol. Check out the easy steps on how I did this nail art below:
STEPS:
1. Apply two layers of white nail polish (Chic Silky White) on 1/3 of your nail. Optional: Add a layer of matte top coat. Wait for it to dry.
2. Apply two layers of orange nail polish (Caronia Sun Kissed) on the next 1/3 of your nail. While it's still wet, dump the orange flocking powder on top. Then wait for it to dry.
3. Apply two layers of yellow nail polish (OMG Banana Boat) on the last 1/3 of your nail. While it's still wet, dump the mustard yellow flocking powder on top. Then wait for all of it to dry.
I also randomly drew some candy corns on my thumbnail to make things a little different. Unfortunately, I may have botched the design because I drew their outlines too thick.
(>_<)
Still, tadaaaaa~ You now have your very own candy corn nails. And can I just say, "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die"? Hihi. What do you think? I really wanted to do something fun because I'm starting to feel the Halloween spirit. Whooooo~ Don't forget to check out the other entries for the textured theme! Goodbye for now and I'll see you again soon!
(^o^)
P.S.
Sorry I haven't posted this yesterday. I am still not finished reorganizing my nail stuff. I think I have around 400 nail polishes now. Eeeeek! And what do you think of my navigation bar above?
(^_^)
